Thanks to Solaxess technology, installing colored photovoltaic panels on façades helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This reduction is estimated at just over 50 kg of CO₂ equivalent per square meter in the first year, and around 1.5 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per square meter over a 30-year operating period.
Our contribution to the environment
Compared to standard black solar panels, our technology offers :
- much better integration of photovoltaic panels into the building envelope, enabling a much larger operating area. Millions of square meters are now accessible.
– a significant reduction in module operating temperature. Under real conditions, very light-colored modules show a reduction of 14°C (44 instead of 58 on the back of the module) when the outside temperature is 25°C.In extreme conditions, particularly in hot countries, our technology significantly enhances cell performance.
– a contribution to mitigating urban heat islands (areas where neighborhoods generate higher ambient temperatures in cities).
Solaxess actively contributes to the intelligent design of positive-energy and/or air-conditioned buildings. The economic challenges of sustainable construction are thus within everyone’s reach.
